Fees & Payment
Providing thoughtful, personalized healthcare navigation takes time.
Your intake allows us to understand what you’re looking for, gather relevant information and determine the appropriate next step.
Charging a modest intake fee also allows us to dedicate our time to people who are seriously exploring healthcare in Mérida.
Not necessarily. The $700 MXN intake is our fee. The $2,500 MXN physician consultation is the independent physician’s fee, which we collect on their behalf.
The physician consultation is only arranged if it’s required. If you already know what you need, such as an MRI, you may not need one.
Yes, if you decide to continue your journey with us.
Your $700 MXN intake fee, and an amount equal to your $2,500 MXN physician consultation fee if you had one, can be credited toward a qualifying Mérida Health Connect concierge service — up to $3,200 MXN credited toward your concierge fee.
If you decide not to continue, that’s okay too. The fees simply cover the services you’ve already received.
Payment of the $700 MXN intake fee is required when booking, to confirm your appointment.
If a physician consultation is required, the $2,500 MXN fee is paid to us on the physician’s behalf before that consultation is scheduled.
Medical costs are billed separately by the independent providers and facilities that set them.
Usually not.
Medical costs depend upon the treatment ultimately recommended and the providers and facilities involved.
The intake helps us understand what you’re seeking.
Following appropriate physician and/or specialist assessment, we can help coordinate more meaningful cost estimates.
That’s the goal wherever reasonably possible.
Once the appropriate healthcare professionals have reviewed your circumstances, we’ll help coordinate available estimates so that you can make an informed decision before committing to major travel expenses.
No.
Independent medical providers and facilities charge their medical fees separately.
Our fees are for our own intake, healthcare-navigation and concierge services. The only medical fee we handle is the physician consultation fee, which we collect on the independent physician’s behalf.
The Intake
No.
The initial intake is conducted by our Client Coordination Team and is for information gathering and healthcare navigation.
Medical assessment and advice come from the independent physician you consult, if a consultation is required.
No. Our Client Coordination Team is led by a coordinator who worked as a nurse in Canada, but the team does not provide nursing or medical services.
Their role is to gather information, help you navigate the process and coordinate your experience.
Medical advice comes only from appropriately licensed, independent healthcare professionals.
No.
We welcome international clients seeking healthcare in Mérida.
The Canadian nursing background behind our Client Coordination Team may be particularly familiar to Canadian clients, but our services are not limited to Canadians.
What Happens Next
If a physician assessment is required, we’ll arrange a consultation with an independent physician for $2,500 MXN, which we collect on the physician’s behalf.
If you already know exactly what you need — an MRI or other diagnostic imaging, for example — we can often move straight to coordinating it.
That’s completely fine.
Completing an intake or physician consultation does not obligate you to receive treatment or purchase concierge services.
Fees for services already provided are not refundable simply because you decide not to proceed.
No.
A healthcare professional may determine that a requested procedure isn’t appropriate or may recommend a different approach.
Medical decisions are based on your individual circumstances.
Travel & Logistics
We can help research and coordinate flights and accommodations as part of our concierge services.
Airport transportation can be coordinated as part of your concierge arrangements.
Absolutely.
We can take a spouse, family member, friend or other companion into consideration when planning accommodation and transportation.
That depends on the healthcare you’re receiving.
Your healthcare provider determines the medically appropriate timeframe. We then help coordinate your travel plans around that recommendation.
